About The Event

Hwang Gina's concert "Geomungo Verse_2023" is a performance that shows you filling all the elements of music with a single geomungo. You can feel the infinite charm of geomungo with its traditional technique and anomalous technique for new sounds.

In particular, Hwang Gina's music, which has a "descriptive voice," can be seen in this work. A story that creates a specific atmosphere or landscape with a melody and unfolds with sound invites the audience to the music world that presents a movie-like scene. PROGRAM

Geomungo soloist Hwang Gina has been interpreting Geomungo as a modern solo instrument since 2017.

Starting with the unique sound of geomungo, it is expanding the infinite possibilities of traditional music through sensuous music, crossing the boundaries of genres from post-rock, neo-classical, and techno.

The second full-length album, "Short Film," released in 2022, received a lot of favorable reviews in Korea for its new interpretation of "solo library" through sound design and music production based on the unique sound of the geomungo.
